107 of 112 people found the following review helpful Fast, good capacity, but an energy hog and very noisy, Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Brother Printer MFC7360N Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax and built in Networking (Office Product) Small footprint, well integrated Ethernet access, large paper storage space, inexpensive (compared to HP) toner, and a document feeder, all at a very low price. In my past experience with Brother printers and fax machines they are extremely reliable and easy to setup and that is why I chose to go with a Brother. With a infrequently used copier the inkjet versions will clog and as the ink dries out in the print heads and they are a lot slower and in the long run a lot more expensive with the cost of consumables.Setup was fast and easy and the Nuance scanner software is great and an improvement over that provided with older models from Brother and the software from HP which is so bloated that it often fails to even install properly. Nice feature is the ability to register a PC by name when installing the software. Then when scanning a document you can select the destination computer from the Brother and push the scan to the desired PC. Very easy and very slick... Morgan (Palo Alto, CA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Brother Printer MFC7360N Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax and built in Networking (Office Product) The field of monochrome all-in-one AIO laser printers lags behind the more ubiquitous inkjet AIO units. I needed an economical solution for scanning and printing documents. It didnt' make sen$e to keep buying expensive ink replacements from the inkjet printer. I settled on the Brother MFC-7360N. The unit is somewhat noisy when using ADF (auto doc feeder) and acceptable when printing. Construction is plasticy but so are most printers these days. Some other drawbacks: - Cannot change the default directory where images are stored on your computer - Takes about 30-min to install the drivers & sw on one computer. sooooo slowwwww - The little display window is hard to read even at its highest contrast setting! Wow, bizarre. - M-F (no weekend) customer support The printer is acceptable and not too expensive. The software for Mac is quite full-featured but not robust. UI is a weak point. I learned to workaround its quirkiness. The printer is great if... This review is from: Brother Printer MFC7360N Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax and built in Networking (Office Product) WHY I BOUGHT IT: I've had this printer for only two days but here are my initial reactions: I can't compare this machine with other 3-in-1's. I come from having three separate units to handle print, fax, and scan, so the 3-in-1 (four with copy) is a pleasure both for functionality and space saving. I've been a pretty loyal HP user, but I switched to this Brother this time because of the comparatively high reader scores on Amazon, because Consumer Reports gave it good grades, because ink costs are relatively low compared to many others especially inkjets, because I don't expect to give it heavy use and the laser toner will not dry up over time. For color and photos I still retain my old excellent HP photo printer, or I can head to the Copymat store, so I didn't see the need for color on this one.SETUP: Setup on the home network was fairly easy. Wired hookup to the main computer was basically plug and play, but getting the networked computer to recognize the new printer... Read more |

It's great to have a really fast fax machine that also doubles as a USB laser printer and a copy machine.Three "heads ups" for you: First, there might be a learning curve if you've never owned a fax machine before. You have to put this together and it takes a few minutes. The pieces seem flimsy and you might wonder if it's going to work but once you get it together if it works fine. Second, the manual is printed in a very small font that's hard to read even with my reading glasses on. Third, with this machine you get a "starter toner cartridge" that is good for about 300 pages. To get a "real" toner cartridge you have to spend well over another hundred dollars. The toner cartridge costs more than half the price of the machine. You may also have to buy a USB cable. So, with the toner cartridge and the service contract (which I... The front door opens poorly; cheap design. It would have been great to have an easier way of feeding legal size paper than having to open the lower tray, taking out the paper, expanding the tray, then placing the legal size paper, then repeating again to place letter size paper. Otherwise I believe it will serve me well. 18 of 19 people found the following review helpful worked well for over a year, I've used this machine in my small office for almost two years. Setup was a cinch. It worked flawlessly for over a year. Now I have problems with paper jams. Continuous paper jams. Sometimes I stand over the machine for 30 minutes at a time pulling out a jammed paper and restting the machine only to have it jam on the next piece of paper. For that reason, I am now shopping for a new machine. |

This review is from: Canon Faxphone L90 Laser Fax and Printer (2234B007AA) (Office Product) Great fax and copier. Quiet and energy efficient. Automatically ignores non-fax calls. So far, very reliable, with no problems. Toner cartridge cost is reasonable. 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful Surprisingly good for such an inexpensive device!, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Canon Faxphone L90 Laser Fax and Printer (2234B007AA) (Office Product) The machine was easy to set up and works well both as a fax and as a printer. At first, I thought I was only going to use it as a fax machine, but my desktop went on the blink and I replaced it with a notebook running Windows 7 starter edition. I found the drivers online, downloaded them, and used the machine to print some maps & e-mails. It prints very quickly -- much more so than the HP LaserJet 6P I have. 6 of 8 people found the following review helpful breaks right away, By This review is from: Canon Faxphone L90 Laser Fax and Printer (2234B007AA) (Office Product) Had this faxphone l90 for 1 year.
